On June 14, Pappy's Corner Pub organized and hosted a golf tournament, which generated $2,332 in support of Crossroads. Nearly 100 players participated in the tournament and more than 20 hole sponsors helped make the event possible. ANNUAL LADIES DAY DOUBLES TOURNAMENT
On June 7, the Annual Ladies Day Doubles Tournament drew more than 50 players to benefit Crossroads Safehouse. Thumbs up to the participants and the generous event sponsors Carol Hiller and Harmony Laser Center, Dr. Beverly Donnelley, and Susie Ripp with Coldwell Banker Realtors for providing nearly $1,500 to Crossroads. Thanks also to Sanitas Skincare, Cindy Wedding of Ladybug Designs, and Caninos for providing door prizes and lunch. We truly appreciate the volunteers of the Fort Collins Tennis Association for coordinating this annual event.
KIDS WHO CARE
Throughout 2007 and 2008, two Fort Collins grade-school boys crafted and sold purses to raise funds for Crossroads. In May 2008, they applied the dollars received from their purse sales to purchase a new, outdoor play set, which was installed in the backyard of the Safehouse. Thank you for providing youth clients with a place to have fun and just be kids during their time at the Safehouse.
ALPHA CHI OMEGA ANNUAL GERANIUM SALE
Long-time supporters of Crossroads, the Alpha Chi Omega Alumnae Club of Fort Collins sold hundreds of geraniums and flowering plants during their annual geranium sale fundraiser on May 10. It was another successful year, with proceeds to Crossroads totaling nearly $5,000. Crossroads is grateful for the Alpha Chis' time and dedication. We especially thank Sara Durnil and Melissa for organizing the event and Plantorium Greenhouse & Nursery for again providing beautiful, high-quality flowers.
BARNES AND NOBLE BOOKSELLERS
Barnes and Noble hosted a Book Fair April 24-26, which grossed more than $400 generated through a portion of sales during the three-day fair. Crossroads appreciates all of those who volunteered and made purchases at the Fort Collins and Centerra locations. Thank you for helping us to end domestic violence.
Thanks to the Roundhouse Gallery for supporting Crossroads through the "The 2 Woman Art Show: A Benefit for Crossroads Safehouse," which ran February 1 - March 3.
