Established in 1980, Crossroads Safehouse is a nonprofit domestic violence shelter that assists victims of interpersonal abuse and their children and works in myriad other ways to eliminate domestic violence. Crossroads’ philosophy is to empower each person whom we touch in order to promote that person’s level of optimal safety, happiness, and potential. We provide a “symbiotic cycle of services,” i.e., we listen to victims and help them, which causes us to research and learn how we can do more, which we share at conferences and with other organizations, which enhances our ability to listen and to help the next victim and the cause of ending domestic violence.

Crossroads Safehouse is a domestic violence emergency shelter for victims of intimate partner abuse and their children.  Crossroads offers a continuum of services, including advocacy, intervention, awareness and education.

Domestic violence/intimate partner abuse is a human rights issue.  Crossroads Safehouse envisions a world in which every person lives in a safe environment, free from oppression and with the opportunity to thrive.
